My Story

 

Photography has been part of my world since 2010, when I became a studio photographer and business owner in Manchester. I ran my own photography studio, specialising in fashion, family and portrait photography — with a little bridal fashion thrown in too.

 

It was there that I truly learned my craft. I mastered lighting, understood how to work with people, and built my confidence behind the camera while running a business I poured my heart into. After a couple of incredible years, I made the brave decision to close the studio — not because I didn’t love it, but because I knew I was ready for my next chapter.

 

And that chapter was weddings.

 

I threw myself into wedding photography, photographing friends’ and family’s weddings to build my portfolio and grow in confidence. It was one of the most rewarding times of my life. The trust couples placed in me, the emotions I captured, the energy of the day — I knew I had found my calling. From that moment on, weddings weren’t just work… they were my thing.

 

Then, when the world slowed down during Covid, I saw an opportunity I’d always quietly dreamed about — newborn photography.

 

I trained intensely, investing in professional education and becoming a member of Kelly Brown Photography, one of the world’s leading newborn photography educators. I lived and breathed newborn training for a full year and achieved a Certificate of Merit. It was a proud moment — and it opened another beautiful door in my journey.

 

What makes it even more special is that many of my wedding couples returned to me when they had babies of their own. I’ve photographed love stories turn into families — including a couple whose wedding I captured years ago, who then trusted me to photograph their first newborn. That is something I will never take for granted.

 

Today, I run a fully equipped newborn and family studio from my home, creating a relaxed, welcoming environment for families. Over the past four years, I’ve been honoured with multiple photography awards and now offer newborn sessions, cake smash shoots, family portraits, Christmas sessions and, of course, weddings.

 

Photography isn’t just my job — it’s my passion. It’s a privilege to capture life’s biggest milestones, from “I do” to tiny toes and first birthdays. And I truly wouldn’t have it any other way.
